About GAP
Gap – one of the largest American clothing brands for men and women. The group of companies includes several brands: Gap itself, as well as Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime (multi-brand store) and Athleta. All brands have a shared cart on the site.
In this review we will tell you how to order from the Gap website. Purchases on other sites of the group proceed exactly the same way.
How to register on GAP
On the main page of the site, click the person icon in the top right and then click Sign in.
On the page that opens, enter your email address and click Continue.
In the window that opens, you will need to provide your first name, last name, password and mobile phone number (optional) and click Create account.
That’s it, your account has been created. Remember that your account will be shared across all other stores in the Gap family.
Selecting items
Select the section you are interested in; in our example it will be Men.
Next, select the desired category, for example Sweats (hoodies)
All that remains is to choose the items you want to buy. Select the required size and color and, if necessary, check the Size guide for the item (size recommendations). Read reviews from customers who have already purchased the item – this will help you choose the right size.
After selecting the color and size, click «Add to Bag». Be sure to check the quantity to the left of the black «Add to Bag» button.
Clicking the cart icon in the top right corner lets you view its contents, verify that all parameters are correct and correct them if needed. In the cart you can also see the preliminary total cost of your order and choose the shipping method to our warehouse.
After checking all the data, click «Checkout»
On the page that opens, enter your full name as indicated when registering the account, then enter the address and phone number of our warehouse in Delaware (take the details from your personal account). Click Continue.
On the next page, double-check the shipping address, name, item and purchase amount.
Below, select the shipping method and speed. Remember that on the Gap group site, orders over $50 receive guaranteed free shipping within the USA.
Check once more that the shipping method is correct. If everything is correct, click «Continue» and proceed to the next step.
Next, enter your payment card details – card number, expiration date and CVV code from the back of the card.
When selecting a payment method, your billing address from the form you filled out at the very beginning will be automatically populated.
If you have a promo code for a discount, you can enter it in Promos. Note that if your order contains items from different stores of the group, you can enter several codes one after another – for example for Gap, Old Navy and Piperlime. The store will accept and apply all discounts if the items in the cart meet the promotion requirements. Now click «Save» and check all entered data one last time.
Check the order total (in our example the store automatically applied a 40% off promo code on the entire assortment).
Click the Place Order button
That’s all. Congratulations on placing your order! You should now receive an email notification confirming receipt of your order. A few days later you will also receive a message about its shipment to us.
